Lauren at Shipacardirect made the process of shipping our Prius-c easy. She was up front about the way the car shipping business works, which I appreciated as I had never shipped a car before. I admit I felt unsure at first when she said the carrier might ask for more than what she quoted me, so I called another highly rated company who said there would be no fluctuation, that the price was the price. That sounded better to me (even though the reps at this other place sounded like they couldn’t care less about their jobs) but after doing more research and getting a carrier’s opinion from YouTube, I realized that this other company was doing what Lauren had warned me about: making promises they couldn’t keep, and/or lowballing and would give my car to whatever hack with a truck would take that price. So I went with Shipacardirect, who hooked us up with Pat from Blue Angels who did ask for $50 more. This did not seem unreasonable so we agreed. Pat was friendly and professional and got our car across states safe and sound. He was a day later than planned with the delivery but that didn’t matter for us as we are still a few days away from getting there ourselves. But my father-in-law says the car looks good, so we are happy.
