I had just lost my job due to Covid-19 and was living in Portland, OR. My lease was up and I was having trouble finding a job, so I decided to head back to Florida to be close to family. Upon this decision, it was really tough to find a transport company that 1) wasn't expensive and 2) had good reviews. I reached out to David at Ship A Car Direct and got a quote. He explained that it was only a quote; shipping prices were inflated and continually going up because of the pandemic. Knowing this, liking David's honesty, and seeing Ship A Car Direct's reviews were the reasons why I decided to book with them. The deposit aspect was really simple and fast! Once complete, I told David I was having oral surgery and was unable to speak on the phone. He was understanding, so he texted and emailed me instead. I was still receiving an influx of residual quotes/follow-ups from other companies who were continually sending calls, texts, and emails, so in comparison, David's communication was right on the ball- not too much to where it was overbearing, but not too little to where I was worried about transport. David updated me to let me know he found a company to pick up my vehicle. I asked him if he would explain my situation to the company, Black Sea Transport, and he did, negotiating on my behalf. We thought it was best to go ahead and book since time was getting close. Slavik was the name of the driver who picked up my car. The pickup was quick and smooth. He gave me an approximate delivery date and his cell phone number, which I reached out to with any questions. Upon delivery, Slavik was again, very quick and timely. When I got to where I was staying with my car, I realized that I was missing a lanyard and pocket knife that were on my keyring. I reached out to Slavik and he said they were accidentally in his vehicle. He went above and beyond by delivering them to where I was temporarily living the next morning! David made sure to follow up with me to make sure the delivery went well. Thank you again so much for your help, David and Slavik.
