I had a great experience with Ship-a-car direct. The driver was flexible on pick-up location, as I originally quoted my home location, but had him pick up my car at work. He was also willing to work around my schedule, as I had a meeting that caused him to wait about ~75 minutes. The driver arrived precisely in the middle of my pick-up window, just as planned. They delivered the early which was great. Picked up ~North Carolina on a Friday, delivered in California the following Thursday. Pretty fast. Pick-up and delivery was fast and straightforward. I had an older car so I went with the uncovered option, perhaps if I had a new Mercedes, I'd be hesitant to use an "open" truck. My only complaint would be needing to pay the delivery driver in cash, I rarely carry cash so this was a bit of an inconvenience and I prefer the security of credit payments. Do not use one of the no-name companies that underbids. You might end up without a delivery option.
