Transporting my son’s car from the Midwest to California

My son was finishing up his last semester of school and I needed to find a transport company that would be able to transport my son’s car from Michigan to California. This is the very first time I have ever needed this service so I was very concerned about making the right choice. After spending several days checking out the various transport companies I decided to go with Ship a Car Direct. After a late night online chat with one of their operators working the graveyard shift. The online chat person gave me a quote and told me that an agent would be calling me soon. I received a phone call the next day from one of their agents named John. He had left a message on my voicemail. I waited to call him back because I was still checking out other companies and getting quotes and background information. The only companies I called were ones that had the best reviews. I made sure that I did my due diligence in all of my research. Calling back Ship A Car Direct was my next call on the list. I ended up speaking to an agent named John. I was very impressed with John from our first conversation throughout the entire process. As I shared earlier, I had never transported any vehicles before and being a first timer I had many questions for John. He not only answered all my questions but his listening and communication skills made our conversation seem like 2 friends working out a solution together rather than a consumer speaking to a salesperson. Out of all the calls I made to other companies, this one was the first one that set my mind at ease and gave me the assurance I was looking for. By the time I spoke to John I needed to find a company that could secure a driver for me within a week’s time. On top of that was the fact that the driver had to be one willing to work on Memorial Day Weekend. My son and I would be flying home on the 29th and wanted to have the vehicle dropped off at our California address the day after we returned. John got right to work on our order and called me back the next morning with the good news that he had found a driver based out of the Los Angeles area who would be able to pick up our car the exact day we needed him to. Being a Christian I immediately thanked God for His faithfulness in answering our prayers. John had given me the transport company’s contact information and told me they would confirm the pick up day and time in a few days. John and I had a few more conversations during this process and he continued to remind me he would be in touch and to call him if I had any concerns or questions. He also followed up each call with an email before the car was picked up, during the transport, and after it arrived. safely home. All this correspondence continued to confirm that I had made the right decision. The transport company were also very good about taking my calls and providing me any play by play information I needed. The car was picked up exactly at the time and day that it was scheduled and it actually arrived in California a few days earlier than it’s delivery day. The transport company had no problem storing the car at no extra charge until we were home and able to receive it. The follow up emails from Maricel and Jerry showed me that Ship a Car Direct will go the extra mile to make sure their customers are completely satisfied.
