I am a truck driver that needed to ship a RAV4 across the country from the Washington DC area to Spokane WA. Did some research online and came across Ship A Car Direct. I didn't want to hassle with the limitations and multiple trailer swaps at a terminal that happen with a single transport company. I wanted a good broker (like Ship A Car Direct) that could find a reliable truck that would be responsible to haul my car all the way cross country instead and would handle dealing with any problems that might arise. I waited a few days before the car was ready to move and then called Ship A Car Direct with the earliest pickup date at my sister's house. I dealt with Kosta at Ship A Car Direct, he gave me a price estimate and started the search for a reliable truck. And let me say now, he did a GREAT job. I was patient with him and he kept me informed as things progressed. You have to remember that moving a car with a trucking company is not like having UPS or FEDEX pick up a package. Cars have a unique start point and a unique end point, and the driver needs to load a trailer full of cars that will move along that unique route, so you need to leave yourself a little time and flexibility to allow the broker to find the right truck to do the move. In my case, the car was picked up a few days after my scheduled earliest pickup date (I made sure I had extra time planned for the move). The driver called ahead the day before he would be there to let my sister know his schedule, he called again an hour before arrival, he was courteous and professional, she had downloaded the Ship A Car Direct app to take pictures, she took the pictures after he got there and then the car was loaded on the truck! The scheduled delivery was 4 days later and the driver again called (me this time) and let me know his ETA the day before, and again an hour or so before delivery. My car was delivered on the scheduled day of delivery, in the same condition it left my sisters house (except for some dirt accumulated along the way), and I used the app to take the delivery set of pictures. Ship A Car Direct did a great job of finding a reliable trusted carrier, dealt with the complicated mess of scheduling and negotiating a price with the carrier, and followed up with me. I'm a truck driver and I know how complicated this stuff is, Ship A Car Direct did a GREAT job! I would use them again without a second thought.
