Customer service from Ship-A-Car Direct exceeded expectations. My vehicle was shipped from California to Virginia. I originally contacted this company in June 2017 but did not use them until December 2017. My original quote was still in the system and it did not change. All along the way there were emails and texts to inform of carrier, info on downloading app for pics, remaining balance, estimated delivery, people to contact if problems, etc. The assigned carrier worked with me in changing the pick up date of the vehicle, which I appreciated. It seems a bit strange handing over your car keys to someone that drives away with your vehicle, but it worked! As a note, the transportation cost did not include the fee to Ship-A-Car. The one thing that I wish I had been informed on, which would have come from the assigned transport company, was the date that the vehicle actually left California. The person on the receiving end was renting a vehicle and had to extend the time. The transport company did as they stated by letting the person on the receiving end know when they were getting close to the drop off state and projecting an arrival time for the following day. As a note, the vehicle was dirty, but that was to be expected on an open carrier.
