Stressful at first, but worked out well in the end

Our experience with Ship-A-Car-Direct was generally very good, but we had a stressful experience with the initial car pick up. The booking process was pretty straightforward and easy. We were given a 3 day window when the car would be picked up. It was very important to us that our car was picked up within that window because we flew across the country the day after the window closed. By the second day of the pick up window, we still had not heard from the shipping folks. We called multiple times and were given answers like the car would "probably" or "most likely" be picked up on time. This was stressful and we were considering back up options, but then a driver called us on the night of the 2nd day and picked the car up about 12 hours later on the the 3rd day of the window. The car pickup and drop off were easy and quick. The car was delivered on time and in decent condition. It was a little dusty and needed a good wash, but that seems fair for traveling across the country. Overall, we were pleased, but wish there were clearer answers during that pick-up window time.
