Ship a Car Direct made my car transport experience a less stressful one. I had a small window in which my car could be picked up (two days). I have a large SUV, and it made me nervous that the car would be too big for anyone to pick up in such a short time (I contacted Ship a car about one week prior). Scott from Ship a car Direct found a shipper for me for a reasonable price considering the circumstances. He was also very informative and responsive in answering my questions. The shipper was good with communication, too. Dispatch contacted me a few days before pick up and responded to my requests to notify me again as we got closer to pick up time. Due to timing, I asked for a change in pick up location a couple of hours before my scheduled pick up time. They accommodated my request without hesitation. To be fair, I think I made it a little easier by meeting the driver at a more central location/on the route rather than coming straight to me/out of the way. But, I don't think it would've posed a problem since my car was last to be picked up before heading north and because they were responsive since the beginning. My car was delivered a day earlier than the driver told me when he initially picked up my car. The car was picked up on Friday evening in FL and delivered Sunday afternoon in PA. I was expecting delivery on Monday. My car was a little more dirty, but I expected it from open transport. I noticed some nicks that I didn't notice before pick up, which could have been from rocks during transport, but I might not have seen them before since my car wasn't exactly the cleanest when it got picked up. My car was on the bottom and at the end of the truck. It's a risk you take with an open carrier. Both the dispatcher and driver were friendly, accommodating, attentive, and responsive. I've had bad experiences in the past with car transport, including no communication, severe car damage, and stolen items, and this experience has helped me feel a little better about it. I wouldn't hesitate contacting Ship a car Direct or the trucking company again if the needs arises.
