We had never shipped a car before, therefore we were somewhat apprehensive about sending our daughter's prized possession, a bright yellow VW New Beetle, across the country from Phoenix to Gainesville. We read all the reviews, and contacted several companies before making our decision. Shipacar Direct was slightly higher in price, but seemed to have the best reviews. Believe me, we read about some real horror stories out there. Therefore, we felt it was worth paying a little bit more with hope that we wouldn't have any problems. We called and contacted Gaby at Shipacar who was very helpful and reassured us that she was there for us, if we had any questions or difficulties. We were soon contacted by the driver, Tony, who would be responsible for transport.
Tony was also great. He picked up the car near the time he said he would be here, and also made us feel comfortable with the move. He made it clear which day he would deliver the car and verified contact numbers. On the day of delivery he called several hours before he was to arrive and confirmed that we would be there to receive the car. He did as he said he would do. Our daughter was happy to have her bug, Betty, safe and sound in Florida. We had a pleasant experience and would use Shipacar Direct if we ever have to move a car again.
