I needed to transport my Audi A4 2007 from New Jersey to California. The car is in excellent shape. I initially went on the internet and inquired on some websites about ways to transport the car - I got tens of companies sending me email and calls daily with very wide ranging offers - from $800 to $2000 and wide range of delivery times. Many of the companies I could get no credible proof of their reliability, references, etc. After reviewing reports from Consumer Affairs and Better Business Bureau, I found Ship-A-Car-Direct as a trustworthy broker to arrange the transportation for my car on an open truck. I worked with Karen at "ship a car direct". She was very informative about the steps I had to take and what they did to get a bid and select a transport company and ratings of different carriers. Trans Auto was the California based company that transported the car. The Car was picked up the night before scheduled day - very helpful driver (HAI YI) who gave us his reach number. Though the truck broke down next day in Georgia and eventually the delivery got delayed by one day, Trans Auto was very forthcoming and honest about where the truck was at all times and when it would end up in California. Trans Auto was very good and accommodating about location and time of delivery of the car locally in Los Angeles.
Overall a very good experience!
