After doing some research and reading a lot of reviews I ended up shipping my car through Safe-Direct Car shipping. They picked up my wife's car in New York and dropped it off in Los Angeles. I paid $1,195 (lets just call it 1200).

Let me tell you why it was great using this company:

I actually left for my honeymoon a week after my wedding (in New York) and was going to be gone for 2 months internationally and was going straight back to Los Angeles. My point of contact was Jason. Jason was really great and was on top of everything - really thorough with his job. I actually needed the car to arrive 2 months later, so I contacted Jason early. The thing is with car shipping is that a carrier won't really pick up your job(car) until about less than a week to go (more like a few days before) so you can't really make arrangements ahead of time.....but that's what I needed. It wasn't a problem for jason. He understood my request and needs and he was on top of it. He kept me up to date via email ...quire frequently...on the status of the job and whether someone picked it up or not. He was reassuring and honest and straight forward (which is something is company prides itself on).

They made arrangements for our fathers (points of contact) for pick up and drop off. Not only did everything go smoothly, the car arrived a day ahead of schedule, and in the same condition. I think the rates are reasonable and in line with everyone else, but what sets them apart is their customer service. Jason and Safe-Direct really made me feel at ease and that the job would get done...and most importantly they gave me peace of mind.

I wouldn't use any other company in the future. Stop thinking and debating, just go with Safe-Direct.
