The main problems was that Safe-Direct bid my shipping too low. None of the carriers would pick it up until the price was raised. Second, the original bid required the driver to deliver to my home - an out of the way location in Northern Utah. When the transport was reposted with a drop off in a city at a Wal-Mart it was picked up.

I don't see these issues as terrible negatives. Safe-Direct is a middle man that helps you connect to transport companies. There is an eBay like bidding process that is sometimes accurate and sometimes needs tweaked. For my particular situation it was not so bad for a late pick up and late delivery. If you need precise delivery and drop off dates make this clear to any company seeking your business.

JMT was the trucking company. Driver was delayed as mentioned above but was mostly conscientious in keeping in touch and letting us know the revised delivery date/time.
