Reputable Compnay..Would definitely use again

I contacted Safe Direct just over a month ago after I had been scammed by another car carrier just weeks before. As this was my second time shipping my car across the county, I knew that finding a legitimate company that I could trust would be difficult (but I never thought I'd be the one to get scammed!) Nevertheless, Tom contacted me right away after I submitted a quote request and I told him immediately about my prior experience and that I was wary of this company as well. He was very understanding and patient, and was willing to answer any and every question that I had regarding the process. What I really liked about Safe Direct is that the deposit is not due until an actual carrier has been assigned and their information has been provided to you (something I didn't think about when submitting my deposit to the previous company).

Within a week or so, a carrier had been assigned (to PK Lines) and Tom assured me that they could be trusted and would safely delver my car. About 4 days before my scheduled pick-up date, I decided I wanted to push it back a few days and e-mailed Tom to see what he could do. He responded right away with confirmation that the date had been changed and sure enough, PK Lines picked it up right on time. While the majority of my experience was great, this is the point at which things got a bit frustrating. In no way was Safe Direct at fault, so that's why they still get an excellent rating from me. The problem was with PK Lines. Despite being pleased with an on-time pick up, I was very dissatisfied with the fact that every time I called them, I never got an answer and was always sent to voicemail. The first time I ever spoke with anyone, was 2 days before my car was actually delivered (which was 2 days late). They project a time-span of 7-10 days, but I didn't get my car until day 12. As my frustration began to build however, I contacted Tom and he was incredibly helpful in terms of getting in touch with the carrier himself, giving me status updates, and encouraging the carrier to give me a call ASAP. After finally contacting me, I requested the driver's phone number who was responsible for transporting my call and stalked him for the next couple days until my car was actually delivered. At that point, I was a bit more satisfied because the driver was very patient and helpful in keeping me up to date on his travel status.

All in all, I can say that I am a satisfied customer and would definitely use Safe Direct again if I should ever need to ship my car in the future. Thanks Tom for all your help!

Thanks for the informative review, Kendall! I'm glad you had a better experience with us than with the last guys. You bring up a good point about carrier response - drivers can't predict or prevent some delays, and they aren't always immediately available to take calls when they are on the road.
