The most important part - the car was delivered on time with an overall decent experience.

As with any car shipment some elements are better handled than others. According to the dealership the driver re-scheduled pickup multiple times however that is just hearsay from the dealership and I did not experience it first hand. The driver did deliver on time so that is a plus!

I don't intend to file a claim however there is some rock chips that were not listed on the origin paperwork. Primarily 2-3 on the hood and 1 on the windshield. I'm more worried about the 1 chip on the windshield then anything else. I would have absolutely said something had I noticed it when the car was delivered. Unfortunately by choosing an open carrier the car looked as though it had been through a mud bath when delivered. Of course that made it virtually impossible to see anything until I hosed the car down a few minutes after delivery. Not much you can do when you have to sign for the car before washing it down and inspecting it.

Regardless, I love that Safe-Direct makes sure the car is being picked up and delivered by the same driver. This direct shipment is something I made sure to have as other shipping companies sometimes take your car and hold onto it at transfer stations for weeks on end.

The main point is - if you have a newer car - make sure you pay to have it in an enclosed trailer. It is worth the extra $$. (Or - have your car delivered by a hose so you can inspect it first before signing!!)
