I had a Scissor Lift I needed moved 56 miles and was quoted anywhere from $100-600. I took the $120 bid and signed an agreement in which they wanted a deposit (never do this). I refused a deposit and they cam back with $350 for a do deposit COD delivery, the same one they wanted $120 with $40 deposit. Then they said they found one for $300. I called local towing company and they were $350. I needed this for a job site and finally came to find a driver that agreed to $250 COD. The morning of pickup their truck broke down so I booked a trailer and told them I am done playing games. Once I booked rental trailer their truck was fixed and they were at Equipment Company asking to pick it up. I let them and the delivery was not perfect but it got here. BEWARE about giving a deposit up front. I ended up paying 2x what the original quote was..
