I originally used this company to ship my car from California to Illinois and the transaction was OK once the car was picked up. The driver, Bill, was very good and got my car in Illinois very quickly. And after this transaction, I wrote a very nice review for this company.
However, within 5 weeks, the job I moved to Illinois for ended, and so I had to have my car shipped back to California. This is where the quality of service became very poor.
First of all, as a return customer, I was supposed to get a $100 discount. This did not happen, I ended up paying the driver $100 in cash. Secondly, Frank continued to stall and stall about arranging a pick up day and time from Illinois. He had 4 days to do it, and wasn't getting it done. Also, I had to call him over and over, he did not follow up. Then he asked me to drive 50 miles to meet the driver because they didn't want to drive to Camarillo, only L.A. At that time, I said I was going to use another company and he literally started yelling "Give me a chance! Don't go with someone else!" I found this to be really poor "service."
Then it was the carrier people he contracted who never answer their phone, don't have voicemail and lie about why they aren't on time. The company is Mon Trans, Inc., so steer clear of them. Then the driver was 2 days late, so I had to leave my key with the hotel manager in Illinois. When the driver showed up he was rude to the manager, with a parting "Leave me alone." Six hours later she saw him in a local company parking lot reloading all the cars when he should have been at a local truck stop area to do this. At this point, I had to trust that the driver would get my car to me intact.
Once the driver finally got going, he got here in a timely manner and my car was fine. I had to meet him at a gas station because he couldn't park the semi at this hotel. He drove me back which was nice.
Honestly, I was really stressed out dealing with this company a second time. The lack of professionalism and follow up was really high. And they couldn't even honor the "return customer" discount which is ridiculous. My recommendation is, if you have to move, really consider driving yourself, or shop around until you're sure you have a legitimate operation.
