They'll make up lies to appease you

I don't mind if something goes awry and you can't fulfill your end of the bargain, but just be honest about it and don't make up lies that the actual carrier refutes ever happened. Rite Way told us the car would be picked up on the scheduled day and had us wait the whole afternoon. We called Rite Way and was assured by a lady there that they spoke twice with the carrier and that it would definitely be picked up that day- it did not, and the carrier said they never spoke with Rite Way. When they did pick up 2 days later, somebody came in an open carrier when we were promised it would be enclosed the whole duration. Rite Way then said it would be transported in an open carrier to a nearby city (about 15 min away) where it would be transported enclosed to the destination. We asked the actual driver and he said he would have to transport it an hour away, to another county, before it would be enclosed. When it was delivered, it was in an open carrier, so throughout the whole transport we have no idea if it was enclosed or not. We paid twice as much to have it in an enclosed transport and have no evidence that it had been transported that way. When I started up the car, the in-dash indicator showed that one of the tires was flat, which was just icing on the cake. I would suggest you go with another broker because this one will just make up lies to appease you. If nothing goes wrong, and you don't have to actually speak with them, then you may have a good experience with them. Unfortunately, this was not the case with us.

We don't usually respond to these however this woman got the entire dispatch department as well as the carrier CRAZY. She called constantly for a week carried on about the pickup because she didn't want to give up her car before she left and she wanted it magically delivered clear across the county in an instant! She was scheduled for 8/2 changed it to 8/5 then 8/6 then would not give up the keys until 8/7. She wanted the car in NY on the 8/7 and it was picked up in CA. She screamed at our salesman, our dispatchers, and the carrier like she was a crazy person. She actually cursed at our salesman. This carrier was a gentlemen to have dealt with her nonsense most of them would just cancel. They picked up her car finally on a flat bed and drove it several miles away to their terminal. They always do this so they load all the cars on one time in the order in which they will be delivered. THIS CARRIER ONLY HAS ENCLOSED TRUCKS SO THERE IS NO WAY IT WENT COAST TO COAST OPEN. THE OWNER OF THE COMPANY HAD TO GET ON THE PHONE WITH HER TO REASSURE HER IT WAS GOING ENCLOSED. At the time of delivery she signed the bill of lading that all was well with the car at approx 10am. At 6pm she called the carrier to say she got a flat tire and they did it (after riding around all day) and she wanted a brand new tire. All this woman wanted was money back and to complain about nothing. She is an abusive person and rite way would never do business with her again, the abuse is just not worth it!
