So I get a call from a gentlemen named Dave. (Rite Way). We hash out a good deal for transport and he is extremly caring of my situation. I am in military trucking and understand the business very well. I got the idea that I was talking to an expert too. So the pick up went very smoothly, A Team was the carrier and the man was very polite. Gave me all the phone number of everyone I would need to contact. This is where the madness starts. We loaded the car up and I drove straight back to Texas to get my brother home. I gave the truckers a few days then I wanted a status up date. YOu know, its very common for ppl to want to know where and how the truck is handleing such a long stretch of highway. Very Common at least in my business. I began calling the numbers given to me by the polite A-Team driver. I call several times, and the one time someone did pick up, there information was inaccurate and inadequate. At this point I had not gotten any updates on where the package was. 'FAR FROM ANY STANDARD WE TRUCK BY'. So I go back to the begining at Rite Way (BRUCE and David). From them i get information that they dont really deal with the courier. Another DEAD END. I know Logistics and the different levels of it. These communication problems can be fixed with a few small purchases that you all are failing to provide. Its my deepest belief to successfully run a three stage logistical operation, communication to all three levels should have all the same information to provide to the desination (Customer) Tracting the performence of your convoy should be done at all times to maximize information being funneled to the lowest level. The Customer. Rite Way did not know who was carrying my car, where they were, or phone numbers to get my to the correct place. After getting the right numbers, noone would answer the phone. If I would have not drove to him a midnight 40 minutes away, I would not have gotten my car until the following day. That would have been 1 day latter than they previously promised would be the last day. So take it for what it is worth.
