I was moving because of work, and had to pay out of pocket. Naturally, I was hunting for a cheaper provider that can get my car from Chicago to LA safely. I received an email from Richard Flores at Reliable Car Transportation quoting "as low as $650", so I called him to get that price.
I just wanted to get a price and move on, but Richard went on a 45 minute rant about why all company are the same and he has to charge me $800 instead. He even told me that he won't charge my card until a driver is found. So just to get off the phone, I agreed to have him put my transport job in the national truck booking system, which is not a firm commitment according to Richard Flores. I also never received any order confirmation from Richard.
2 days later, I found a company that is willing to do it for $700, so I signed up with them. That same day (July 3rd) I emailed Richard to cancel my order. 4 days later, a charge of $200 from Reliable Car Transportation showed up on my credit card. I emailed Richard, asking what service did he provide to warrant the $200 charge. He did not reply. I emailed him again a week later, and to this day there is no response. As a result I decides to take matters into my own hands, disputing the charge with credit card company and coming here to share my experiences.
There are tons of other company that would provide you much better service at a lower cost. Richard's bait and switch tactic, then still charged my credit card days after I cancelled the no-commitment order construes dishonest business practices, not to mention lack of responses to subsequent inquiries. I highly recommend you to use another company to avoid the hassle I going through. The other company I ended up using saved me $100 and provided excellent service.
