I like most other reviewers, agonized over which transport broker I should use. Everyone seems to make the same damn promises as the other guy and tells you why you should choose company A over company B. I called Brian and he explained the whole process to me. He was articulate and honest about what to expect and how this industry works. He laid it all out and did not sugarcoat anything. He even sent me a list of some cars in a que pattern so I could see what it looked like. That let me know I was dealing with someone who truly WAS in this industry and that he really did have the means to put my car on the listing service to be picked up.
Now, I will tell you, it did take just about two weeks...maybe even a little more to get my car picked up. I tried not to bug them too much because I had told Brian upfront that I was not in a hurry to move my car since the one I was buying was just a second car to me and I didn't need it right away, so to their credit, I didn't ask for a priority pick-up. The ONLY thing I was very concerned about was to make sure that the bumper end caps on my car were not damaged by the truckers since there are no replacements available for them. I was starting to get just a little anxious after about 2 weeks since I was starting to wonder if it would ever happen. Brian made some calls and I offered to up my listing price. In the end, Brian apologized to me for how long it took to get my car picked up and he never charged me the $100 brokerage fee, as his way of apologizing, even though I hadn't asked for that from him. That really impressed me and made me feel great about choosing Reliable Car Transportation.
Once my car was picked up, it was here (all the way from just about West Coast to East Coast) in just four days! It was picked up in Arizona on a Friday morning and I had it in my driveway on Monday evening before dinner time! I was amazed by the speed of that. The trucking company, Relocation Station was excellent and the two guys who delivered my car could not have been nicer. Even though the owner in Arizona who I bought the car from stated that it ran (and it did when they picked it up), along the way a battery cable clamp worked itself loose and the car wouldn't start on the last day so they had to reload it on the truck manually...as in pushing it by hand! It is NOT a light car that I had them move and they were so nice not to charge me an extra fee for that, even though they could have. I did tip them for all of their help and hard work.
My car was not damaged in any way. The worst thing that happened to it is that my windshield became a graveyard for all the bugs who gave their lives up as my AMC Eagle flew across the country! Hey, birds get hungry! Don't hesitate to use these guys, they are pros and yes, this industry if full of gruff, trade type guys, but these guys are great people and they just want a chance to earn your business...I'm so glad I let them...you should too!
