Damaged car, admitted it but would not pay for damages

I am a transport broker and set up the transport of my customers Mercedes S320 with Redhill Logistics. The customers car had been professionally detailed the day before pick up and was picked up at the detailers facility. I know the detailer personally. The car was damaged with a 2 ft long scratch under the passenger side door which upon delivery was pointed out to the driver and was obviously a fresh scratch most likely done at the time of unloading or perhaps when it was moved during his pick up and delivery schedule. Driver was rude and would not provide a copy of condition report and never provided one at time of pick up. Police were called because the driver threatened to load the car up and leave. Owner of company uncooperative and rude. I do not recommend using Redhill Logistics!
