Successful Cross-Country Move

Move: Boston -> San Bruno, CA (near SF)

Cost: ~$1100 for door-to-door service, insurance included

Pickup: Originally was scheduled for 1/4/11, but driver was 2 days late due to a truck problem which was fixed, and delivery was rescheduled for 1/6/11. Driver called the day before and the day of to confirm the time, and pickup was on time.

Drop-off: Actual delivery date was 1 day later than the estimated date due to bad weather conditions (mid-January). Driver called to let us know the time frame and car was delivered on time.

Car arrived undamaged and in good condition. The only thing I would have preferred is more advance notification of the pick-up and delivery estimates - I had to call the day before the estimated date. Once I called though, the follow-up calls were very prompt.
