Overall the experience was somewhat average with a number of miscommunications. The car was picked up on time and as expected, but there was some disagreement between red carpet and the transport company on the delivery date, which nearly resulted in the purchase of two flights, but to their credit, Red Carpet was able to fix this quickly.
The form of payment required on delivery was not made entirely clear to me either. It appears "the rest will be due on delivery to the driver" translates "clearly" to "the rest will be due IN CASH on delivery to the driver". A little more heads up on that front would have been nice, as it is somewhat challenging to put together ~800$ in cash, in 2 hours, in a state where your bank doesn't have a branch. It's a little mind boggling that red carpet can't simply charge the whole amount to my credit card and cut the driver a check. This doesn't seem terribly complicated for them, and would be an immense convenience to the customer.
The car was delivered on time, and the communication from Red Carpet was well done outside of the small disagreements we had in the interpretation of what a general payment might consist of. However, while this review is supposed to be specific to Red Carpet Auto(which is why they are getting 4 stars instead of 1-2), I do feel the transporters they do business with reflects on their company. As such, I feel the need to mention that when the car was delivered, the driver made the judicious choice of unloading it onto a major avenue so that I had the pleasurable experience of dodging traffic and being accosted by police officers to move. This whole experience pressured me into not having the opportunity to actually review my car for damage, which I later found to be riddled with scratches all over the paint job and a small unexplained dent. I realize it is my responsibility to inspect the vehicle for damage regardless of circumstances, but the whole unloading into traffic with the later unexplained damage felt a little bit like extortion.
