Very Good Service...would use again

I am a Canadian, and this was my first time exporting a car from the USA. I did a fair bit of research on the net, and finally decided on Red Carpet based on a combination of excellent reviews, and excellent price. I was a little nervous trusting my newly purchased vehicle with an unknown (to me) company....but I am confident I made the right choice. Not the cheapest quote I received, but well worth the extra 10% I paid, given the service.

Barb was great, and understood my unique sitation. I needed the vehicle dropped off within a narrow time-frame...since the US border only allows exports between 8.30am and 3pm Monday to Friday. So it was important to me that the vehicle be dropped off well enough in advance that I could take it across the border and have all the paperwork processed in time. I was hoping for a Monday to Thursday dropoff, or Friday morning at the latest. The last thing I wanted was to have to leave the car on the US side of the border for a whole weekend, incurring storage costs, and then having to take another day off work to bring the vehicle across into Canada. Well, thanks to Red Carpet, this didn't happen.

Unfortnately, the vehicle arrived at abot 3:40pm on a Friday...about 27 hours later than the driver first told me he would be at the drop-off point. He had a water pump fail on him on day 2 of the trip, which added a whole day to the trip. Then, on the Friday, he had gotten stuck in traffic in Seattle. We were disappointed in this, and feared we would lose a whole weekend, and have to come back on Monday. The vehicle did arrive in perfect shape though. Thankfully, the US border people kept the wicket open longer than the posted times, and allowed s to export the vehicle at about 4:20 on the Friday.

The driver was very responsive, and kept the lines of commnication open throughout the process.Just too bad about the water pump. Stuff happens, and this was not Red Carpet's fault. I am certain the tried their best to accomodate.

Yes, I would use Red Carpet again.
