Late, Dirty and Liars

I searched the net and heard good reviews about this company and so I decided to use them at the advice of other individuals in the car community I'm involved with. They contacted me and were able to match a competitors price of $3,000 and transport both of my classic cars in an enclosed trailer. I received a call from Ashley to let me know someone had accepted the job but the driver said he wanted an additional $69. Not wanting to haggle over less than $70 I said okay. They informed me that when the driver arrived it would take 7-10 days for it to arrive at it's destination.

The driver arrived a few hours late to my house to pick up the cars. While he was loading up the cars, I asked him why he wanted an additional $69. He told me that he had no idea what I was talking about and that he didn't ask for anything extra. At this point, I was wondering why Red Carpet had lied to me. I called them up the next day and when I told Kelvin what I asked the driver and wanted to know why Ashley had lied to me, he could not put me on hold quick enough to probably run to his supervisor to tell them that I had found out their lie. He quickly came back on the phone and said he had "no idea" how that happened and that he would wave the charges like he was giving me some sort of deal.

On day 10, Kelvin called me to ask "so the vehicles arrive....right?" Obviously their was no communication between Red Carpet and the driver because if their was, he would know that the vehicle hadn't arrived. He stated that he would call me back when he knew more. He never called me back.

Fast forward to day 14, Kelvin calls me with same question a few more times between day 10 and 14 asking the same question as if I knew something that he didn't. Finally on day 14 he actually called me back to tell me that he had directed the driver to deliver the vehicles tomorrow morning. Fast forward four hours after that conversation and the driver arrives at the house. I wasn't to worried that he didn't follow Red Carpets directions as I figured him telling me that he spoke to the driver and had told the driver to deliver it tomorrow was another lie just so he could buy time to try and figure out what was going on. Either way, he dropped off the cars. One of my classic cars arrived in perfect shape, but the other had transmission fluid leak all over the front passenger fender from a car parked above it. Since it was night time during the vehicle delivery, he could not see all the oil but tried to wipe off as much transmission oil as he could see. In the morning my family woke up early just to scrub the car to remove any transmission oil and avoid potential damage to my classic car.

Once the vehicles were delivered, I never received another call from Red Carpet Transport.

I don't appreciate the consistant lies from this company ($69 and delivery tomorrow), lack of communications between the company and the driver, and poor follow through skills by their employees. I was very disappointed by this company as I had read so many positive reviews on here and in the car community which I belong to but my experience was far from that. Was my money not as good as the next persons and that is why I was treated in such a fashion? I paid up front so their was no issues with payment so what was it? I may never know but I do know that I will never recommend them to anyone I know personally, anyone in my car community or anyone on this site. I was expecting so much more, but received so much less.

Hello Josh, There is always variables with pickup and delivery dates and the drivers try to keep on schedule, as they drive their route, as much as possible. Sorry that the drivers did not keep you updated as much as they could have. Here at Red Carpet we pride ourselves with 5 star service and we wish this could have gone smoother throughout the delivery of the vehicle.
