Disappointing

After reading many reviews, I am a bit disappointed. I was left hanging several days waiting to be contacted with pick up date. It was only after several calls I was given a pick up time. There was an additional charge of $140 added to initial quote of $775. Though I was told about that before delivery because the car was inoperable. There was damage done as the car was unloaded. A clamp had to be replaced holding the tail pipe. I was told the car would be delivered on Friday, possible Thursday and so I planned my work schedule accordingly. I was called by the driver who informed me he would be here Wednesday morning. I could not rearrange my work schedule at the last minute so the driver said he would be here between 10am and 1pm Friday. He got there about 3:30pm. My car was filthy. This was a garage kept classic vehicle. It was caked with dirt and mud. I expected a little travel dirt but I think this was ridiculous. I don't expect to have to transport a car again anytime soon but I don't think I would use this service again. The price was about average of all the quotes I received.

Red Carpet Auto Transport; 602-438-4644; Gina, I am sorry that you felt our service to you was disappointing. We send out our terms and conditions which cover everything you are speaking of, should you read them you will notice that this is gone over completely. We do ask 1-7 days to locate a carrier for you, it took us only 5 days to not only locate a carrier but get your car on it as well. Also, our quotes are just that, "quotes" and when dealing with inoperative vehicles it can be difficult as there are much fewer carriers with the equipment that is required to haul and inoperative vehicle so sometimes they do ask for more money, and you had the opportunity to decline and continue to look for another carrier. In regards to the delivery date, carriers do not guarantee anything nor do we because they can make excellent time and get there early or hit traffic and be late. You happened to have an accommodating driver, many would have been a bit upset that they had to work around others schedules, that effects their loads. Lastly, you opted to transport your car on an open carrier as opposed to an enclosed carrier. Using an enclosed carrier is usually what people use to transport classic cars but you chose not to. So the filthy part is the norm. Baths for cars are a necessity after transport on an open carrier 9 out of 10 times. Again our apologies that you were unhappy with our services but we did everything we said we would and never misled you for a moment. Sincerely, Red Carpet Auto Transport
