My name is Daniel Santillanes, and I don’t work for their competition. If you google me, you will find that I exist, all my data, and you will see that my business is also the service business.
My name is not “James Van der Beek” (Dawson’s Creek Actor’s main Character) or “Gary Fisher” (Bycicle Rider Extraordinaire , both of who just left two five-star reviews for this company and which I know are made-up reviews. You can google them as well.

As a service provider, I know a satisfied customer can return once more, or many times, and can recommend you to one or two other people… and I also know that It takes just angry customer can represent either ten, twenty or more bad recommendations. That’s why you have to provide the best service possible. If you screw up, well, just take it like a man, apologize, offer some kind of compensation or relief, and move on.

Well… this time I am the angry customer. I am a truly disappointed and also very sad that there are still companies who try to take advantage of the client instead of just providing a good service. This is the case of this particular company, who are calling me a liar and saying that I don’t exist.
In fact, the admin at www.transportreviews.com provided me with the option of writing a second review, which I felt was unnecessary… But then, these people posted this reply to my initial review, and this made me very angry. “We have cross referenced this email and have no such customer or order number on file. We have disputed this posting and are currently awaiting removal. Again, this is not a legitimate complaint, our guess it is a competitor attempting to slander. Disregard until it is removed. Thank you”. This is the reason I decided to opt-in for a more detailed review. This is not a slander. This truly happened.

I will try to keep this review as succinct as possible. In fact, I will just point out the facts in a Bullet-Style manner, so you know what happened. If you are interested, you can Judge for yourself by reading ALL the mails crossed between James Johansen and myself, in the following link: http://pastebin.com/yzVCD3b1 (COPY AND PASTE TO YOUR BROWSER)

1.- I contacted James Johansen because I liked his style. He gave me a good hunch over the mail and subsequently over the phone. Route: California to DC.
2.- I gave him my desired pick-up date which was Monday, January 7, 2013, after we agreed on a 925.00 USD price. He said he could deliver, not to worry about a thing.
3.- After crossing several mails and phone calls during the week, he assured me not to worry because my driver was picking up the vehicle “either SUNDAY or MONDAY, during the day”.
4.- On Saturday Jan 5, and Sunday Jan 6, I called James more than ten times. He did not pick up his phone to any of them, and all I got was the voicemail. I left him a voicemail for every call. I also wrote him numerous e-mails which he did not answer.
5.- I waited all day Sunday AND Monday, and James was to no avail via phone nor mail. The hauler never came. The service was not provided as we had agreed. Two days later he answered my mail, telling me that he had great news and a hauler for my vehicle… two days after we had agreed the pick-up date.

The most honest thing to do was telling the truth: We will not be able to pick your car on your desired date”. Instead, he just kept saying “yes”, “no problem”, “don’t worry”, etc…
Why am I doing this? Just Because I want you to skip the horrendous experience and anguish that I went through… “will the driver come?” “I can’t go anywhere, they might come” “C’mon James, please pick up”… “Maybe he didn’t get my e-mail” and so forth.
Oh, that and the fact that they are calling me a liar.

1.- Their promise was a lie.
2.- Their first reply to my review (which I just have one sentence and I did not copy completely) was also a lie. (Look below)
3.- Their second reply to my review is also a lie:
We have cross referenced this email and have no such customer or order number on file. We have disputed this posting and are currently awaiting removal. Again, this is not a legitimate complaint, our guess it is a competitor attempting to slander. Disregard until it is removed. Thank you”

Please, do not engage in business with these company. For your own peace of mind. Read the proof here: http://pastebin.com/yzVCD3b1 (COPY AND PASTE INTO YOUR BROWSER)

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL REVIEW:

“Do not hire: Tells the client what they want to hear, but fails to deliver.

Review: I had a very unpleasant experience with this company. James promised me the pick up of my vehicle "Either Sunday or Monday during the day". He also told me "not to worry about a thing", because "He had everything covered" and that “WE WILL LEAVE NO STONE UNTURNED FOR YOU”. Monday evening was the last day I could ship my vehicle, since my flight was scheduled for Monday night, the red-eye flight.

Well, it turns out that neither Sunday nor Monday was my vehicle picked up (and I was at home, waiting all day). James Johansen did not answer nor return any of my phone calls, even though I left voice messages every time. He did not answer my emails either throughout those two days.
I must have called him more than ten times, and sent the same number of emails.
Then, on Wednesday, he wrote an email saying something like "URGENT: I have great news for you, I have located a hauler to pick up your vehicle". TWO DAYS AFTER WE AGREED THE PICK UP!!!

His service is very poor and untrustworthy. It was so much easier to tell me the truth: "We will not be able to pick your vehicle in your desired date".
Shame for James and the people involved in his team.”

We value each and every one of our customers. You are the ones who put food on our tables. We take pride in the fact that we specialize in same day moves, but when you have zero flexibility it becomes extremely difficult and in this case impossible. In this case unfortunately Daniel could have been a bit more flexible. After booking his reservation originally on 11/17/2012 and telling us he wanted the pick up as soon as possible , we were able to provide him with a driver immediately. After we reached out to him to reserve that spot , he said it was too soon for him and asked if we would please put the order on hold.Order was cancelled on the 19th.Then he called us to book it again and the order was uncanceled on 1/03/13..His new desired date for pick up was that Monday 7th He made it clear he needed the vehicle up until the day he was to fly out.I explained we usually require a 3-5 day window to pick up any vehicle on any route. We again had a driver available to pick up on the 6th only......called him once again explained we understand he wanted the 7th (Monday) but the only driver available would be on the 6th......after urging him to take this one because it is evident that were stifled by his exact pick up date of the 7th, he said under no circumstance was he able to ship on any other date but the 7th he needed car up until the day he flew out.....at that point i said" we will do our best and will leave no stone unturned.....unfortunately we were unable to meet his strict time frame of only 1 day . I am as clear with my potential clients as i can be as to how this industry works.... All of our contracts as well as email correspondence reiterate how this works in black and white. The fact that he chose to book with me not only once back in November and call on us again to try and get it transported a second time should account for something. The mere fact that we never ever asked this client for his credit card info nor did we require a deposit upfront to book his transport speaks volumes. In other words " If we don't move the car , we don't get paid". Again we are and remain apologetic but he basically tied our hands behind our backs. As far as no communication, that's impossible ! We are in the office 8AM-8PM Eastern Standard Time 7 Days a week. Every one in our office is required to forward their office phone to their cell phone for our clients after hours and on weekends.TEST US 772-237-3277 Now I do realize clients are slammed with about 20-30 brokers calling simultaneously and there are those companies out there that will copy the name of the good companies in order to piggy back .Its really not hard to figure out who is honest and who is not .
