Review made Live: 8/9/2012 11:12:00 AM
My ordeal started 3 weeks back when I chose 'Professional' Moving Solutions to transport my car from Columbus, IN to Denver, CO. I wouldnt have selected this company based on the reviews but it was because of my colleague who was lucky enough to have a good experience. So below is the almost day to day account of the last 3 weeks. It might be very long, but please read it if you dont want to repeat the mistake what I did. 21 minutes of reading is worth more than 21 days of mental stress and trauma

1) July 18, 2012:- This was the fateful day when I spoke to and got talked into placing an order for my car pickup by none other than Warren. Warren is an amazing salesperson but a stigma on the Sales people fraternity. This guy has no consience, no guilt, no honesty and is full of bluff. We will call him Bluffmaster1 for the rest of the conversation. He has everything good to tell you at the time of placing the order. Sample the below conversation between us and you can judge for yourself

Me:- Warren, you guys have very poor ratings on transportreviews.com. Why is it like that?
Bluffmaster1:- Bhushan, you know what. Not many of our customers who have good experience with us will go to the website and rate us. Also, just like around 2 weeks ago, we had to pickup a car for an old lady and since the car was not working we charged her $150 more and that is where she got pissed off and gave us a bad rating

Me:- Ok, but then you guys are not accredited by the BBB also. What do you have to say for that?
Bluffmaster1:- Bhushan, actually recently the BBB has been accused of favoritism and some other controversies. So thats why their accredition doesnt have much value

Bluffmaster1:- Bhushan, we are going to get this done the way you want it and you need to promise me that you will give us a 5 star rating on transport reviews
Bhushan:- Done

So after hearing all this goody-goody things, I allow Mr. Bluffmaster1 to charge me $200 deposit without even having the carrier assigned to my vehicle. The pickup date for my car has been decided as July 26th because bluffmaster1 told me that it would be delivered within 3 days and I didnt want the car to be in Denver before 28th July. The 'fun' has just started

2) July 25, 2012:- I get a mail from Joe (the relocation 'specialist') - lets call him Bluffmaster 2, that due to some inevitable reasons, you car will not be picked up tomorrow as scheduled. We are working on this and will get back to you as soon as possible. For the next 2 days, I try calling up BM1 (Bluffmaster 1) and BM2 (Bluffmaster 2) but they will not answer their phones and will not reply to voicemails. I get hold of BM1 on July 27th and he says that we will have something done over the weekend

3) July 30, 2012:- I get a call from Eric (bluffmaster 3) and he tells me that even though they have got a carrier, it is going out of budget. He is asking for $200 more and to be 'considerate' enough, we (Professional Moving Solutions) will put in $100 from our pocket but we need you to chip in with another $100. I flatly refused to pay anything extra and he is like this is just an option and we are trying to help you and all that. Then, BM1 calls me up later in the day to see if he is able to extract money out of me. I tell him that 'at the time of booking the order, you'd promised that this wouldnt happen and he starts with his stories such as this industry is like that, nobody else will do it for you for so less and things are very dynamic and all the crap. At the end, I refuse to pay more

4) July 31, 2012:- Now, Mr Joe (BM2) calls me and says the same thing. Again, I refuse for any extra money

5) August 1, 2012:- Today is the day when the window for pickup ends. In the afternoon, BM3 calls me and is very happy to tell me that carrier has been assigned. I get a mail with carrier details and all that. When I call up the driver (Wayne), he is like 'who the hell gave you my number and hangs up?' After that he messages me that the car will be picked up tomorrow and he would let me know the approx time tomorrow morning

6) August2, 2012:- Wayne calls up in the morning to say that car will be only picked up later in the evening. I told him that should be fine. Now from 4p C onwards, I try calling up Wayne but he wouldnt answer, nor reply to my messages. This went on till 11p C but Wayne didnt answer

7) August 3,2012:- Wayne msgs me that call up the office (JMN Auto...) for any questions. I call them up and the lady tells me that the truck has run into mechanical problems, the rear axle has broke down and we are cancelling your order. So, your company will try to find a new carrier for you. I call up our Bluffmasters, but as usual nobody would ever reply

8) August 4,2012:- By quirk of fate, BM1 (Warren) answers the phone. I ask him what is going on and he very innocently tells me that he assumed the car was picked up. He says that he will find out whats going on and call up within an hour. Yu should also listen to this what BM1 told me before he hangs up 'Bhushan, let me tell you that we are going to get this car moved. Thats my promise.'As usual, nobody calls back

9) August 7,2012:- I manage to reach BM1 after calling up several times. We have heated argument and he says that give me time till 1 pm. I ll call back after 1 pm but nobody calls up.

10) August 8.2012:- I decide enough is enough. After being totally exhausted, frustrated, tired, angered, drained, I ask these guys to cancel my job order. The game is not yet over. I dont know how much days would it take to get my refund

11) August 10,2012:- And just when I thought that everything was over and life can return to normal, Mr. Warren calls me up again today and tells me that the car can be shipped today itself for $200 more. Although a bit jittery, I did agree to it for 2 reasons
i) Spoke to ther other 5-star rating company and they are asking for same or more
ii) I'm not sure if I will ever get my deposit back if I go ahead with the cancellation
As promised, Warren did send me the carrier details within minutes of signing the new contract. Spoke to the carrier and he said he would be there in a couple of hours and so he was. Finally my car got loaded onto the carrier and it reached Denver within 2 days as agreed.

These guys are clearly thugs, scammers and rip-offs. They are not interested in transporting vehicles. Also, since transport companies are protected by a legislation where you can claim compensation only for actuals and not for mental distress and trauma, such unscrupulous people and companies take a disadvantage of that. Their contract is altogether one-sided. You would not be compensated for any delays in assigning the carrier for pickup but if you cancel the order anytime after entering the contract, you have to pay 20% of deposit. You would see that in my review, I have given NA rating for Honesty, Hold times and Overall customer service. This is because these guys aint familiar with any of those terms. Infact, I also suggested them a couple of new names - UNPROFESSIONAL MOVING SOLUTIONS or PROFESSIONAL FOOLING SOLUTIONS.

Thats all from my side. Please reach out to me for any quesitons and I'd be more than happy to answer them
