Fast service, excellent communication

My son is in the Marine Corps and will be completing his 4th year of duty at the end of this May. We needed to get his car shipped from the Mirimar air base in San Diego, CA to your home in the Chicago burbs.

I first contacted Gilbert back in early April to inquire about getting the car shipped. Gilbert took his time and explained how the whole shipping/broker process worked. If there is one thing I really appreciate when it come to a service of this type is good communication. Gilbert had asked once the date of shipment gets closer to call him back and make the arrangements then.

Once my son had everything on his end set he told me his car was ready to be shipped. I called Gilbert on Monday, May 7th at about 10am Chicago time. We set the shipping price at $800 (plus $199 broker fee) and he told me that he'd call me once he found a truck. Not 15 minutes later my son called and told me that a truck has been found and his car would be picked up later that day. A few minutes later, Gilbert called me with the same good news.

On Saturday the 12th my son called and told me the driver of the truck contacted him and said the car would be delivered during the afternoon hours on Sunday the 13th. The car arrived on an open car carrier at about 3:30pm Chicago time. The car did arrive dirty as I indicated in the survey above. After all it was an "open" car carrier folks, and your car will get dirty after traveling across the country through inclement weather. So do not hold that against the carrier.

Overall the service was fantastic and I would most certainly do business with Gilbert at PHILAM TRANSPORT again. Thanks again Gilbert!
