I went with Official Auto Transport because after rfeading the reviews on this site, I thought they were an OK company to deal with. I was wrong. My car was available for pickup on Jan 30th. It wasn't picked up until Feb 4th.... AFTER several calls to Bill who was my agent. When I called on the 30th( after not hearing from the company) I was told that the driver would leave on the 31st. After calling on the 31st, I was told that the driver would leave over the weekend.. and to no worry.. they were working on it diligently.. My car should be in Louisiana on Feb 6th. I got a call on Feb 4th saying that either I pay an additional 100.00 to the driver or they would not ship at all. The manager offered to reimburse 50.00 of the 100.00 deporit.. but the driver would require 700.00 cash at the time of delivery. My quote was for 600 at the time of delivery with a 100.00 deposit. I was faced with the decision of either meet the demands or call in another company and further delay the delivery of my vehicle. Official auto cost me 750.00 to ship the car( after the quote of 700.00, additional 2 days of a rental ( $125.00) and the fee to drop the rental off in New Orleans instead of Baton Rouge because I didn't have my car and didn't have a way to get back to New Orleans from Baton Rouge($200.00)... total cost to ship=$1075.00 the highest quote to ship wasn't as much. Official auto is a rip off... The only positive note....the driver>.. Pat was very nice.....THERE ARE SERVERAL AUTO TRANSPORT COMPANIES.. THIS IS NOT THE ONE TO USE

$800 for South Dakota to Louisiana. I stake my claim that there is no other company in the country. Correction, there is no other company in the world who could have gotten this move done for $800! South Dakota is so grossly unpopular for drivers our competitors are charging $1,200-$1,300 to do this move in the winter; and that's the lower estimates from our more inexpensive competition! Do a quote request online from haulingdepot.com or mymovingquote.com and see what prices you receive. You will not get anything near $800 and if you do, I can almost guarantee their driver will not pick it up for that price. It is just way under priced in comparison to the market value and that's what Official Auto Transport provides. Some of the best shipping services for cheap. That's our #1 selling point and we deliver without fail. I do concede the fact that her vehicle was picked up late. Unfortunately, we do not control the weather and this industry is definitely affected by the winter storms. My drivers do not have the ability to fly above the weather like FedEx. That was the cause for the delay. Yet still, my driver picked it up within 4 days. Most shippers have a 5-9 day window for pick-up! We still performed better than the competition and for an unreal price. It is unfortunate that Dawn feels this way about Official Auto Transport. But for anyone who knows the shipping industry would understand that this was not such a bad job.
