On or about 4/3/07, I made a reservation to have my SUV picked up at my home near Atlantic City, NJ on Thursday 4/26/07 with the known possibilty of being picked up one day early or one day late, and delivered to my new home in San Antonio, TX within 7 days of the pickup date. Beginning on 4/7/07, I sent my first of 4 e-mails (as requested) to NAATC to confirm shipment, supply the delivery address and make minor changes in spelling. On 4/19/07, I still did not have a reply so I began my first of 7 unreturned phone calls to the 800 number. Finally on 4/23/07, I contacted Ryan (Original Salesperson) directly who said he could not help me, and he connected me with Dawn who later claimed to be the manager of customer service. Dawn at first seemed sincere and willing to help, she confirmed my pickup date and corrected the minor errors. On the afternoon of 4/26/07, I still had not received a call from the driver to give me a pick up time, so again I attempted to reach Dawn. Instead I was sent to Mariana who told me that there would be a driver in my area on Saturday night 4/28/07. I explained to here that I would be well on my way to Texas by then and that the vehicle needed to be picked up by Friday night. She told me that would not happen and there was nothing she could do. She asked me to leave the key with a neighbor or friend. Having no choice at this point, I left the key with my realtor who offered to help. Saturday and Sunday went by, no phone calls and no pickup. Monday 4/30/07 9:00am, from North Carolina I called Dawn and was told the driver was enroute and would be there within a few hours, if I did not receive a call from the driver by 4:30pm Eastern Time, call her back and demand to speak with her, she would be there until at least 6pm. Monday 4/30/07 5:00pm, still no call from anyone, Dawn has left for the day, unknown female (refused name) told us she could not help, call Dawn in the AM. Tuesday morning, still no inbound call from anyone. I called Dawn at 9:00am, she is unavailable as per Stephanie, she will call us back in a few minutes. 12:00pm, called again, Dawn is at lunch. 2:00pm finally get in touch with Dawn, promised to get to the bottom of this by 4:00pm and call us back. 4:30pm, Dawn has left for the day and never called me back. Our patience at this point were completely eroded and my wife unloaded on the entire staff. She was put on hold for 20+ minutes. I called from another line and was told a totaly different story than my wife was told as to where the driver was located and when he would pick up our car. I was told he would not be in my area until Thursday 5/5/07, my wife was told he was currently in New York City loading vehicles and would pick our car up next. Both stories were told by Stephanie within 15 minutes of each other. My wife demanded a manger and was sent to RuthAnn who hung up on my wife 4-6 times before realizing that we were not going to give up. RuthAnn told my wife "Who do you think you are??? George Bush??? Do you think the world revolves around you??" "You have taken me away from my sales job to listen to you so are you going to pay the commissions that I am losing??" My wife asked for a refund as we were planning a return flight for me to go back to NJ to drive the car to TX. She was told by RuthAnn that there was "no way in hell" we were getting our deposit back and that we would pay the remainder of the price regardless of when or if our car was ever picked up as per our contract. Meanwhile I am on hold on another line waiting for Ryan and I am listening to them all laughing in the background. Minutes after this conversation ended with my wife crying, a driver called and said he just received a work order for us and would be there that evening to pick up the car. I gave him my realtor's phone number and asked him to work out the times with him. The driver (David) was very friendly and pleasant. But, I was surprised when he asked me what company I used to move my car and how much I was told it would cost. Ryan had told me that NAATC used its own trucks and drivers. This is why I selected them in the first place. The driver told my realtor he would be in the area by 7:00pm. He arrived at 11:30pm and called with no warning to pick up the car. The driver (David) told me he would be in San Antonio over the weekend, no later than Sunday. I called him Saturday to get an idea when I might expect him, he said he could not make it until Monday morning. Monday morning came and went, I called again and he told me after dinnertime. Finally at 9:40pm, he called me (This is the first incoming call since 4/3/07) and said he was late and would not be in the area until 11:30pm. I fell asleep and was awoken by the phone at 2:30 am (2nd inbound phone call since 4/3/07), he was here. The car arrived filthy, covered with a sticky haze and the interior smelled like a gym locker. The car was shipped with 1/4 tank of gas and arrived with the low fuel level indicator light already on. The mirrors and seats had all been moved. Too bad I didn't record the mileage before I left NJ. I still have not received any phone call from the office of NAATC.
