When I spoke with the reservation clerk, I was told that they had a specific driver used for transporting to Military bases, and I was led to believe North American has it's own trucks. When the driver contacted me, it was 4 days after our scheduled date, and he was less than 10 minutes from my work (scheduled pickup point). I did not have the car, and had to leave work, drive home and drive back with the car (total 2.5 hrs of my time). When I spoke with him, he made the comment that they shop the transports out over the internet. I was shocked, but hoping for the best.
He gave me an estimated delivery date, missed that by 4 days. He contacted my daughter who was the pickup, and asked for directions to the base....??? Was very rude to her supervisor, who kindly gave him directions to the gate. Finally arrived, car was blocked by another car on the carrier that he couldn't start. Luckily my daughters co-worker volunteered to jump-start the other car, so that they could get her car.
Not sure I will use this company again.

North American would like to clarify how our operation is set. We work with a network of 20 drivers and companies nationwide so we know each company and dispatcher personally. The alternative is your car being posted on the internet for the cheapest driver whoever they may be. Our structure ensures the safety of your vehicle and normally shortens transit time. A move across country typically takes 10-14 days in transit, but we are able to keep transit down by a few days. We appreciate Ms. Turner's business and thank you for giving us feedback to improve our services and drivers.
