Do not use, dishonest and misleading! Waste of time and energy!

Booked 10/23, pickup for 11/2, as of 11/26 still no pickup, was offered a pickup today (11/26) for 33 percent more of my original quote. Total bait and switch. Do not use this company if your value your time or care for a planned pickup.

I originally booked with Nicks because their customer service agent told me that they have an acceptable pickup window of 2-3 days. When I asked what kind of window was NOT acceptable he told me that cars NEVER take longer than a week and 99% of their cars go within days. This was a boldfaced lie! I booked ten days or so in advance of the pickup date of 11/2. Was assured by Micheal that the quote of $935 was rock solid and for the most part would not change. They even gave me a discount as a disabled veteran. Then this stupid waiting game began....

THEY NEVER PICKED UP MY CAR! First day came and went no call, second day no call, third day I called them. The curt receptionist told me "we are working on it" then hung up. Called a week later, still working on it. Called another week later, still working on it. I received two calls from them during this time telling me "we are working on it." I was extremely nice (although quite disappointed) each time I talked to customer service. Yelling at them wouldn't get my car here any quicker.
Today 11/26 I get a call that lets me know they have found a driver! Hallelujah, but wait there is a catch, its $1250 and they can only drop two hours away from my house. A couple weeks into not getting picked up, I told them I would be willing to work with the driver just so I can get my car. But three weeks late, hours away from my house, with a 33 percent markup from the quote is completely unacceptable. I did NOT get a sense of honesty with these people, as Micheal the customer service agent did NOT tell me that my route was not a common one, that they might have trouble booking it. All he told me was we will ship your car No problem. They have now left a disabled vet without his car for over three weeks, terrible people. I could not get to my medical appointments and have had to rely on the kindness of others, and actually injured myself trying to use public transportation because I DID NOT HAVE MY CAR! Run do not walk away from this company.Told them I was going to change companies they told me that it didnt matter because everyone uses the same system. Ended up booking with another carrier, they found the ad that Nicks Usa were using to advertise for me, they were advertising at $1250, not even close to my original quote! What a bunch of scam artists. Called another transport company and they figured it out same day for $900, $300 less than these assholes.

Mr. A we are VERY sorry for your negative experience. We do strive for complete customer satisfaction. We realize you are frustrated with the overall situation, as the relocation of an automobile can often be, frustrating. However: We were 100% upfront with you from the beginning. Our customer service agents Michael, Vivian and Isabella did tell you that the route from your location in Northern California to Michigan was going to be tough to find a driver for, we were very upfront about this and you gave us the go ahead regardless. We are sorry that impatience played such a large factor, but dishonesty and or being curt did not occur, on either end. The amount you were QUOTED was the PROJECTED best rate for the difficult route, we even gave you a Veterans discount, so by this point our mark-up was close to nothing. Rates fluctuate which is why they are called QUOTES. Michael was correct in stating that FOR THE MOST PART the quote you received would not change, as the VAST MAJORITY of the time what we QUOTE is what the final price will be, however this situation was unique given the route and that was explained to you, in detail and backed up with fact. At the end of the day whether you went with our company or another, we at Nick's USA Transport are just pleased to know that your vehicle was transported from point A to point B safely and successfully. We were and will continue to be upfront and honest with all of our customers. A business does not stay in business by lying and cheating and we are no exception.
