If the office personnel had been truthful from the beginning, I would have been satisfied with the service of this company. The time it took to get my car across the country (10 days) was reasonable, I guess. But the problem was with the numerous "falsehoods" dissipated from the office prior to my signing the on-line contract.
Since my car had no battery in it, I paid extra for the inoperable, door-to-door service. I specifically asked if my car could be removed from the storage unit where it was located, transported, and then placed inside the new storage unit at the drop-off location. I was assured that this would NOT be a problem.
My car was ready for transport on Monday, June 18th. On that day I called and asked if I upgraded to the Priority Handling (1-4 days) would my car be picked up by the end of the day on Friday, June 22nd. (Needed to get it out of the storage facility by that date.) The response was "Oh yes! We'll probably call you in the next day or two!" When I didn't get a call by Friday, I called the office. I was told that the 1-4 days was only "an estimate." My car was finally picked up on Saturday, June 30th ... 12 days after it was ready for pick-up. I was told I couldn't get a refund for the priority handling, but glad I upgraded anyway. If 1-4 days really means 1-2 weeks, Economy Handling of 1-14 days would probably have taken until Christmas.
And that "door-to-door" service? Turns out that really means "as close to the door as we can get." We had to help the driver PUSH my car out of a large storage facility onto the nearby road, where his 18-wheeler was parked. When the car arrived at the drop-off location, there was only an elderly woman to help push ... so the car was left "as close to the garage as possible." I had to pay someone else to finish transporting the car. If the office personnel had told me the truth at the beginning, I could have used the extra money that I paid for the "inoperable, door-to-door service" to buy a battery or hire some tow trucks! Over $1500 and 3 weeks from start to finish ... you can probably find a company to do better than that!
