I previously shipped a car with "Magic Carpet" I thought i'd try them again, they quoted me $960 for the transport, I called a few other places and was quoted $730-750 ..
I called up Magic carpet and asked about the price matching they advertise on the site, they told me they can match anyones prices, but the prices are too low and my car would probably not get moved that cheap.. I asked why they would offer price matching if they couldn't transport a car for the price they are matching?? does this make sense? why price match if your telling me my car won't get moved by you that cheap..
Anyways I seen Motor Movers had great reviews, it was not a Sunday all other transports are closed Sunday that i looked at, I decided to give Motor Movers a try, I talked to Jeff, he was very personable and talked to you like a person, not just another number.
Motor movers quoted me $730-750 this was sunday the day before Christmas Eve, I told Jeff if he could pick up the Car by the end of the year i would be willing to pay up to $800 if he could make that happen, he told me he would see what he could do.
Christmas Day I find out the car is getting picked up the next day, way earlier then expected, and it was delivered that Sunday, very fast service.
The best part is, Jeff told me he had a truck in the area already and he would only charge me the lowest quoted price of $730 since he already had a truck in the area..
He could have very easily told me that he pulled some strings and had a truck go out there and charge me the $800.
Great service and honesty, I definetly appreciate the honesty from the company, the transport business seems to be full of liars and broken promises, I would highly highly recommend giving Motor Movers a try, I know all situations are different, but i would use them again for sure.
Also Motor Movers does not charge any upfront deposit or fee's, most places charge you the Deposit (broker free) right from the start, before they even have a truck scheduled, that means they have even less reason to find a transport for you, Since Motor Movers does not charge you a deposit until your car is picked up, I feel as though they try harder to get your vehicle picked up, since thats the only time they get paid..
This is the only transport company i have used that went above and beyond expectations, and truly offered me a great price on the transport and did it all in a timely manner..
