After weeks of reviewing companies and receiving numerous phone calls with all different quotes. I received a call from Jeff. His laid back approach intrigued me to inquire some more information from him. Although his quote was not the lowest, I appreciated the fact that first he was not calling me from a call center and that the number he gave me was actually his direct line which forwarded to his personal cell phone.
Once I decided to list with him, I thought I would have a few days before hearing back from him. About two hours later I received a call that Jeff had located a truck for me but it was an additional $75.00. I decide to accept the quote just to ensure my car would be picked up. The next day Jeff called to say we had lost that carrier but had found another one that was only $25.00 more then the quoted price.
The driver called me the day before my scheduled pick-up saying he would be picking my car up sometime that evening. Unfortunately I was unable to meet the driver at that time and called Jeff to see what he could do on his end so I would not lose the truck. Jeff called me back saying the driver would be there early the next morning and that everything had been taken care of.
My car was picked up early the next morning in an enclosed carrier, even though I didn't ask for an enclosed carrier, bonus for me. The driver was difficult to understand but other then that was professional. My car arrived in Pittsburgh one day early. The truck was unable to make it up my street because of the hills, so the driver drove it up the street to my home. No damage was done to the car and all items that I had put in the car were untouched.
Over all, the process of transporting a vehicle is overwhelming and stressful while trying to located a company you feel safe with. If I ever need to transport a car again or need to recommend a company I would have to go with Motor Movers. Although they may not be the cheapest, I felt my vehicle was in good hands and I felt valued as a customer.
