Origin: Waldorf, Maryland Destination: Austin, Texas Pickup Date: 08/13/2022 - PM Estimated Delivery Date: 08/19/2022 Actual Delivery Date: 08/24/2022 - PM Auto Transport Industry Standard Delivery Time for 1500 - 1600 miles: 7-10 calendar days Montway is a broker, not a motor carrier. The motor carrier assigned to this delivery was Hurd Transport LLC (USDOT# 3880997). Montway required all charges/fees paid upfront once the vehicle was assigned to a motor carrier and before the vehicle was picked up at the origin. An industry source provided me documentation (available for review) that Montway low-balled the quote, contributing to the shipping delay. Montway did not provide communication during shipment delays unless contacted directly by the customer. When questioned, Montway customer service agents/supervisors became unresponsive after vehicle didn't arrive after estimated delivery date. Please read Montway's terms and conditions before considering them, as their terms and conditions indicate essentially that they hold no responsibility once the vehicle is picked up by the motor carrier. All communications between Montway and this customer have been documented for further review. Previous customers that recommended Montway to me to use are now no longer considering Montway again for any future business as a result of this interaction. Their BBB rating is only as good as the number of complaints logged with the agency against Montway, so that information is subjective. Poor/unresponsive customer service Deceptive practices/Untrustworthy No follow up by Montway regarding the poor/unresponsive service

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback, Lorne. We help move thousands of shipments every day in the US and beyond. So it is important to us that we are transparent and prepare customers ahead of time. All our services and terms are publically available on our website at Montway.com. And we provide these to our customers in our quote and booking emails. From reading this review, it seems there was some misunderstanding about our services. As well as industry specifics. Your first available shipping date was 8/11. So we estimate 1-5 days to pick up from this date. Once picked up, we would estimate around 7-10 days for delivery as you mention here. The shipment was picked up on 8/13 and delivered on 8/24. So yes, the transit time did fall 1 day outside the estimate. I believe that the most important thing to understand here is that transit times are estimated. We estimate 7-10 days as the amount of time for a route like this. But it is not a guarantee or a promise. This estimate can change depending on the specific business you speak with. As there is technically not a universal standard. Carriers always do their best to deliver timely and great service. But, shipment times can change due to several factors, many outside the carrier's control. The carrier was delayed in transit due to truck issues. From what I am aware, you were informed of the transit updates via email. I apologize if you did not receive these updates. I think that one of the major factors here for confusion would be the communication with unreliable outside sources. As mentioned, we provide our service terms in detail. So the practices and actions of other companies really have no bearing on how we operate as a business. We operate exactly how our terms state that we do. And we operate exactly per FMCSA and USDOT regulations. If anything, these 3rd party sources only escalated the confusion and frustration that you felt. Which lead to this review. I think in order for me to help further, I really need more information from your side. As you have several pieces of documentation that have not been provided to us.
