We were in a stressful situation having to move from CA to MI. We had arranged for car shipping with a company we had used before, but as of move week, we still had not heard from the shipper. Four days before we would be flying out, I called, and was told: "we still don't have a carrier booked for your car"... That would mean having to pay extra to have the car placed in storage, and have it pick up after our move. In a panic, we looked at reviews online and gave Montway a call. They offered a guaranteed 2 day pick up option, so we booked. It cost a little more for the guaranteed pick up, but we felt it was worth it to move the car before we flew out. Bottom line: 1.) Montway came through! The car was picked up within the 48 hour window as promised (they actually had a small flat bed truck pick up our car and take it to their regional center where it was loaded on a big cross country hauler) 2.) The car was delivered to us on the 6th day after pick up (which was about the same as when we shipped it before) 3.) No money exchanged hands to the carriers, the entire fee was paid by credit card over the net, so we did not have the hassle of paying the driver with cash or certified check. We are very pleased with the service and results we had with Montway. We will call them first for our next ship, and recommend them highly based on our experience.
