Montway truly appreciates you taking the time to submit feedback about your experience. We welcome any recommendations that help to improve the quality of our services for our customers. I wanted to reach out to your regarding some of the information you have provided in your review relating to the transportation of your Toyota RAV4.
Please allow me to explain the 1-5 day pick up window for loading. On average our carriers pick up loads for transport between 1-5 business days after the first available date listed. As stated on our website, "...it typically takes three business days for pickup to occur although this could be up to a week in some cases." Your first available date for loading was on 7/27/17. Your vehicle was dispatched to North-Import USA LLC on 8/2/2017 and loaded on 8/4/2017, 5 business days later. We understand that this caused inconveniences for you and we sincerely apologize, as we try to make sure the transit goes as smooth as possible.
In regards to delivery, you stated that your vehicle was delivered one day late. Please note that all service dates in the auto transport industry are estimated and cannot be guaranteed due to the dynamic and ever changing driver schedules. The transit time from CA to TX is 1,457 miles, approximately 5-7 day transit time with a car hauler. Your vehicle was loaded on 8/4/2017 and delivered on 8/8/2017, four business days later.
With that in mind, I also wanted to take the opportunity to explain that Montway did not raise the price for you. The carrier dispatched requested the additional fees as they had priced the available spot on their trailer higher than expected. That was only an optional offer, and if you did not want to go with this carrier, we would have declined their request and continued working towards assigning a carrier for the original price. We will always notify our customers of all available options being presented. It is the customer's choice to proceed with the final schedule. We do apologize for the inconvenience, and if you felt that Montway raised the price, in reality, the carrier, North-Import USA LLC, collected the additional fees towards their costs.
I hope this explanation makes it easier to understand how the auto transport industry works and to give you an example that as a broker we are fully dedicated to our customer and ensuring the customer gets the best service possible. We highly value customer's feedback and we take measures to improve our service to make sure customers received the best possible service. Thank you.
