This is the second time I used Montway to haul a car across the USA.

In this latest shipment, my overall experience with the car hauler is excellent. They treated my small Lexus with the greatest of care given to the expensive exotic cars on the same load.

My only criticism is my experience with the call center where you make the initial contact at Montway. When you speak to the agents you feel suspicious of what they are telling you and each time wondered if I can trust them with my car. In booking my last shipment, there was a +$250 price difference for the same service, same pick up and delivery points. Except this order was going the reverse direction, westbound.

I asked the agent to explain. He responded with an improvised answer to get the customer to close the deal. With a made up answer that westbound shipments are more expensive. Again this did not sound right but I needed the car to ship ASAP so I accepted the cost.

While waiting for the car, I did some research at a Pebble Beach auto show and found out that an east to west premium is not standard practice. This weakens my trust with the broker, Montway, and when I ship another vehicle, I would assertively challenge any price quote from Montway or book direct with a car hauler.

Honesty is a critical component to achieve a 5 star review.
