Extremely Late

I used Monstar twice within 2 months to transport vehicles from Missouri and Pennsylvania to N. Calif. The first time the driver picked up the car on time and insisted that he deliver the car within 3 days. Ordinarily a favorable time period except we were all attending graduation and no one would be in CA to accept the car. We had specifically been told it would take 5-7 days.
The second time the car was picked up on time and promised to be delivered in 6-9 days. The car sat on the truck for 1 week at the pick up city as there was a mechanical problem with the truck. Only when I called after 1 week to inquire about the status of the delivery was I told that the car hasn't even left Pennsylvania. It took an additional 1 week to deliver. This greatly impacted travel and moving plans.
Basically Monstar is simply a broker with absolute no control or care of the status of the delivery when it is being farmed out to a dispatch company. They collect the $75 or $100 fee and the rest is left up to the mercy of a truck driver and his schedule. I would always try to deal with the actual transport company that will be transporting your car directly. Using a broker is a bad idea as they really provide zero service.

Mr. Torosis, we apologize for the experience you had with us, and take full responsibility. We do our best to meet all our customers needs, and unfortunately, some situations are out of our control. We actually do have our own trucks, but we do mostly local runs and sub-contract to carriers we use on a regular basis trusting that they will do a satisfactory transport experience. We do hope you come to us so we can give you a discount for your service due to your last experience. Again, my deepest apologies. Letty Pena
