Terrible, Avoid them for a peace of mind

This review is for the Mercury Auto Transport broker. I contacted them to ship a car across the country. My rep was Juan Vazquez. If you get a quote from this guy you should ignore him. I got what seemed to be an automated quote via email. I also received texts and additional informational emails about how transporting a car works and so on and how great they are of a company versus others. The emails mentioned about how not to get charged before getting an actual transport driver assigned and how they guarantee that they do not charge your credit card like other companies. Anyways, so I put down my CC (just to hold and not to charge as they say) and start the process to get a transport assigned. A few days past and no transport is assigned. I get one text from Juan each day saying they are working hard to find a transport. At the same time, other transport companies are contacting me telling me that they have transports ready to pick up my car. I call the Mercury main line but cannot get a hold of anyone so I leave a message which was never returned. Juan doesn't answer his phone either. The one day, I get an alert that my CC was charged for $250. Not only were they not supposed to charge my CC, but they charged it for more than the quote which was $150. I text Juan asking about it and get a reply that sounded just like an automated text repeating that they are working hard to find a driver. He basically ignored answering why I was charged. More time passes and I finally get fed up and texted Juan to cancel my booking. Then what do you know, he called me back. I asked him on the phone why I was charged when I had no transport, then he lied and said "oh I got you a transport, the truck driver didn't call you?". Total BS, and I told him why would the truck driver tell him when you are my broker and you haven't even told me anything. So I told him to cancel the order and refund my money. Over 2 weeks and the money was not refunded. I had to contact my CC company to file a dispute and then Mercury gave me a credit right away. This broker is a waste of time. I contacted another broker and they had my car picked up the next day when I contacted them and that was from Elite Shipping.
