I am a person who gets nervous when I hand my car keys over to a valet who is only going to park my car a few hundred feet away. So needless to say i was extremely hesitant about handing over my keys to a truck driver who was goign to take my car for nearly two weeks and do god knows what with it.

I worked with Sheila at Magic Carpet and she helped put my mind at ease. I was given all the information I needed prior to signing up with them to ship my car from Norther Virgina to Norther California. I was also working with a tight delivery window and the folks at magic carpet founs me a truck that would meet my needs. I shopped around with some other transport companies prior to choosing Magic Carpet. Although I found some that could do the job at a lower rate, I could not find one that gave me the assurance that my car would be in the best of hands.

If I had one complaint it would be the timing and pick up of the car. It was a Friday evening and my wife was at work with our car. I got the call at 4:00 that the car would be picked up that evening. I had to scramble a bit to get the car home and cleaned out. I also wanted to pack some bulky jackets in the trunk. I was also under the imression that the car carrier would pull up at my residence and I would physically see the car get loaded on teh truck, but instead there were two guys who picked up the car and said the truck was a few miles away and they were going to take it there. I reluctantly gave up my keys and hoped they would take care of the car. They could not answer many of my questions regardign transport times and who I could get a hold of. I was just told to contact Magic Carpet with any questions. That left me a littlel uneasy. The guys did take many photos of the car prior to accepting it. shich gave me some confidence that they knew if needed to be returned in the same condition.

I contacted Magic Carpet on the followign Monday and they assured me that the car was in transport and that I would be receiving a call in a day or two from the truck driver with delivery status. I got that call two days later with the news that the car would be arriving two days early. This worked perfect with my schedule. The car arrived as promised. expect from being quite dirty form the journey it was in great condition.

Prior to the car beign picked up I took many photos of the interior and exterior of the car. includiing the mileage ( incase someone decided to joy ride ). It was teh first thign check upon delivery and there were no more than 5 miles on it. I attribute most of those to the guys who picked it up and drove it to the carrier.

All in all it was a pleasant experience and I would use Magic Carpet again and reccomend them to my forneds and family
