I really have mixed feelings on the use of Magic Carpet. I like dealing with Kristan. The transport, and delivery was great. The pick up was a bit of a night mare due to "not being able to find a driver who wanted to go from California, to South Carolina. I did not have a rush or dead line for delivery but pick up was more of a concern. The only other issue is cost. Yes the price I received was an estimate, but when you sign a contract the estimate really should be firmed up. I don't expect a car dealership or any service to agree to a price, sign a contract and then feel it is ok to raise the price because either their contractor is being difficult. After they have your car your are at the transporter mercy on what they are going to accept as payment in order to release your vehicle. . I was told that driver were not interested in going into South Carolina and it was out of their way. After all the difficulties on finding a driver, the driver ended picking up another delivery with in 20 miles of where he had to deliver my car. Not out of the way but still had to pay additional to get my car off his trailer. In my business, I do not use contractors again when they pull such stunts.
