I worked with Kathy at Magic Carpet who did a fine job of explaining the process and the costs, and also checking with me when the costs changed slightly. However, since the state I was transporting from, Rhode Island, is a small state with a smaller number of people looking for car transport, it took three days longer than she originally estimated to find a carrier. She could not be reassuring that any carrier could be found in the near future. This was anxiety provoking due to my scheduled departure date for Washington. I would have appreciated it if Kathy had taken a sympathetic tone with me about this. Instead she took a defensive tone with me, saying I should have known from her previous explanation. Perhaps I should have but it was my first transport experience. Another small glitch was that I called in with a new contact number for the dropoff, but the driver called the old contact number. Also when the car arrived, the driver side window no longer goes up and down smoothly, and on the drive home from the drop off the brake on the driver side began to heat up excessively and emit a strong smell. The next day I took the car in for servicing and was told that the rotor had stuck and the disc was warped. The repair person did not see that this was linked to the car transport process and thinks it could have been a coincidence. The car has 87,000 miles and has been serviced regularly.

Barbra, I tried to explain that RI takes longer to get carrier to go togo into. Its frustating to everyone that has a car to ship out of this area. Sorry you felt I wasnt sympathetic, I just didnt want to give you false information. Kathy
