The success of this business depends on both the broker and the carrier, frequently not the same outfit. I learned the hard way, starting with the wrong broker, Continental Movers, who talked a good game, banked my deposit, never sent me any paperwork, and when they were available to talk, deceived me on the phone. In my gut it felt so wrong I swallowed the loss and moved on to Magic Carpet, a phenomenal, responsive and honest company that I knew I could depend on. They even committed to delivering my Subaru by a certain date (most will not make that commitment); then delivered EARLY. Their carrier, CAA, couldn't bring the large truck into my father-in-law's development so the driver parked it nearby, then drove the Subaru to the door, exactly as called for in the contract. At every juncture, Magic Carpet and CAA delivered a superior service with comforting status reports along the way. Do yourself a favor: don't use anyone else.
