I used Magic Carpet to transport a car from the Los Angeles area to Anchorage, AK. First, the negatives: I was told that they couldn't guarantee the date of pick-up I wanted (even though other companies had not trouble) BUT they could guarantee the pick-up date with an additional $300 expedited fee. I was confused about that. Then I got an email stating that my car was picked up. The truth was that my car as not picked up until 5 hours later. They transported the car to Tacoma where it was supposed to have gone onto a ship onto Anchorage. I got a voicemail from the delivery guy who said he had my car for two days and didn't know what to do with it. I was a little miffed about that (and my sister gave Magic Carpet a verbal spanking as she was also perturbed). Then someone from Magic Carpet was supposed to have called me and tell me what ship and what container my car was in. They never did.
However, I'm only concerned about results. I'm in Anchorage and so is my car. Will I use them again Absolutely. Do I recommend them to you? Absolutely. Your experience may be trouble-free or you may have glitches like I did. However, the bottom line is that your car will get there. If they can get my car to Anchorage, then they can deliver your car to your destination. The only thing to be wary of is their customer service; it needs a bit more fine-tuning.
