After reading so many horror stories about other shippers, I was still leery of the whole process even though Magic Carpet has so many good reviews. Happy to report that things worked perfectly, and their reviews are well deserved.
The car was available for pick up on the day I called in the order. I was told it would take up to 10 days to schedule the pick up, and they picked it up on the 8th day. Very friendly drivers and staff at Magic Carpet. Both Magic Carpet and the transporter (TC Transport) called me several times during the process, and I never had to bother them.
Be aware that the automated on-line quote may be low. I was sent a somewhat higher quote the next day during working hours. However, it was still among the lowest of all the quotes I received, and I got about 10. Crystal warned me the price could change between the time the order was placed and the pickup, but it didn't even though fuel prices are going through the roof right now.
Overall a painless process. Believe the good reviews.
