After promising a 7-10 day window for delivery, salesperson, Kathy Ashlock, said they would be in contact with me when the car was picked up to provide the driver's name and cell number. I was told that I would hear from the driver when he was 1-2 days away from delivery. On the 7th day I had yet to receive a call from anyone on the status of my car, or to let me know who the driver was. I called Kathy at Magic Carpet and was given a phone number of the transport company, Auto Star Transport, but every time I called I got a recording. Kathy told me that it was scheduled to be delivered on the 11th day, a Monday, and that the transport company would call me over the weekend to make plans to receive the car on Monday. Again, no call whatsoever over the weekend.
I called the transport company on Sat and was told that the truck had broken down and it would be Wed before delivery. On the 11th day I had still heard nothing from anyone at Magic Carpet, so I called Kathy and was treated very rudely from that point forward. I was told that she had ti to be delivered today and that it is what it is. She had no information about where my car was or when it would actually get to me. She called me back later and said the transport company told her they had bad weather, thus the late delivery. She then said it's supposed to be delivered Wednesday but could not tell me for sure that it would be. After all, her company has no control over the transporter. The rude way she talked to me and the uncaring attitude is the worst I have ever dealt with in all my years of business. I didn't hire the transport company. I hired Magic Carpet, who subbed the contract. Therefore, they should be responsibile for getting my car to me in the time specified. They should also deal with the company they sub, as well as, at the least, provide updates to the customer. I would have been able to deal with a delay, if I would have been informed of the reason, and kept in the loop on where my car was. Instead I was lied to and treated extremely non commital once they got my money. I will never recommend this company to anyone of the other car restoration companies in my area who transport automobiles on a weekly basis. I was the fristin my area to learn of Magic Carpet's unprofessional attitude and lack of ethics and will definitely spread the word throughout the automotive community about this shady business.

As brokers we never promise a date for delivery we give an estimate. Your date for delivery was the 12th and it will only be a few days late because of weather. I explained this to you and your wife, and sorry you thought i was being rude, I simply said my hands are tied. We at MCAT care very much what happens to our customers vehicles and you can read all of the 5 star review I have received that speak very highly of my customer service, unfortunately I cannot make everyone happy but this was totally out of my control and I'm am very sorry
