I hired Magic Carpet (who quoted 1315) about the middle for all quotes received. Late July to move 2001 2wd Silverado pickup from MD to WA. After many excuses of why the truck was not being picked up, students moving, snowbirds etc...they decided more money was needed, so I agreed. By mid October, still no takers...not enough money...so I hired a NON broker.. DAS. The next day, magic carpet found a driver who only wanted 1800 to do the job. that is a big difference from original quote. I declined the offer and told them I had hired DAS, to which I was told that I would have to wait and that DAS was also a broker, which is not true, and that my truck required 1800 to be moved. That was two weeks ago and even after Sandy made a mess of the east coast, my truck is on its way to wa state. The price 1485, no hassles with DAS. I was afraid that bad weather would set in or I would have to pay for another years tags before my used truck arrived.....so, if you can wait it out and want to pay more than quoted price and dont need your vehicle...go with a broker...if not DAS has been in business since 1954, they were professional, and stuck with the quote. So after months of waiting at least my truck is on the way. I will report on DAS when I receive the truck in same condition as shipped.

Andrea, DAS is a broker/carrier, they also broker out loads. They do not have enough truck to cover every route in the US. DAS uses terminal services that can take some time to receive your car. We are a door to door service. The truck was in a tough location.
